Dear July,

You were hot. Really hot. Ridiculously hot even. But I've been waiting for you to come all year because I couldn't wait for my poster calendar in the Kitchen to display this:

I'm a little sad that come Monday, I'll be taking you down. Thanks for bringing popsicle happiness to our house.

Dear July 2012 in the Linnea poster calendar,
You are also amazing, and I will look forward to you hopefully gracing my walls.

Yard Work

These make me so happy!!
And so do my zinnias, especially since the whole seed packet cost like $0.88.
This is where I am not succeeding. I think my roses may need to RIP...and that boxwood bush behind as well. How did these roses get so creepy looking?!
Should have pictures to show you soon of my veggies!
And a special thanks to Amy Free for the new blog header- yay!

Sorry...

for the weird posts in your reader, if you got those. Apparently my Polyvore account thought it needed to load lots of randoms directly onto the blog.
Oops.
Happy Friday!

More catching up-Beach Trip

Here's the recap from our beach trip in May with a lot of Hedgspeth's. We headed back to North Topsail Island (NC) for another week of perfect weather, good food, and laziness. What else could you ask for in a week at the beach? Its so great to have this time together in the same house for a full week. I love that we're not just grabbing dinner; we're together all day, all week. The big treat for the week was having Katy and Brian join us from Connecticut. We haven't spent much time together in the last few years, so I was quite thankful for time with my cousin. And I'm pretty sure that all the children are obsessed with Brian after all the sandcastle building, wave surfing, game playing, fishing, etc.

Let's giggle about how posed I look in that group shot....an effort to avoid a smooshed arm gone wrong.
And I like how much brother Ben looks like a robot in that one.

Sadie LOVED the beach. Here's some evidence...

Pigtails!!
Can't wait until next year!
